Location of the restaurant is the ex-Guards Jazz club venue on 2915 M St. The Guards is in the basement (I used to go there), and we have turned it into a very fancy speakeasy.
On the first floor, we’re planning to opening, a high-end French restaurant, based on Escoffier techniques that we plan to use and refresh to fit modern presentation. It’s comfort French with a very small American twist that we’re aiming for.

Most restauranteurs who work in DC do not live there. When I worked in Georgetown, I commuted from Falls Church, VA.
